It’s been a wonderful start to the year here in M2! We welcomed 12 brand new receptions into our school community and were led by 8 mid-year receptions from 2024. We have been busy creating our class ‘family’ and developing new relationships with our peers.
This has been an exciting time for the children as we create new routines, adjust to schooling life and develop a greater sense of independence. Investigations have been a highlight of our time together so far. These investigations give learners agency to identify areas where they would like to further develop their skills. We have many avid authors, builders, mathematicians and problem solvers here in our class!
Some of our highlights have included Lunar New Year, book making, building, practising our CVC word knowledge and applying the new phonics we have learnt, numeral matching and patterning. Congratulations to all of the reception families who have seamlessly transitioned into the new school routine! We’re excited to see what 2025 has instore for us!
